Fortnite was originally intended to be a PvE game where players team up to take down hordes of zombies (husks). This mode is called Fortnite: Save the World and it was released in July 2017. While this mode is still active, its development was slowed down due to the popularity of the battle royale genre.
In September 2017, Epic Games released Fortnite Battle Royale, which ended up taking over the world. If you’re not familiar with battle royale games, the point of them is to be the last person alive. You will join a battle against 99 other players and will have to constantly move to a smaller zone. In the end, only one player will survive and be victorious.
Besides playing Fortnite alone, you can also team up with your friends. For example, you can choose to play Duos, Trios, or Squads. In these modes, the last surviving team will be victorious, and all players in it will get a so-called Victory Royale.
What is so appealing about Fortnite, you may ask? Well, it’s the first battle royale game that introduced building mechanics. Throughout the game, you will collect different kinds of resources that will be used for crafting different builds. In essence, you can build an entire tower or house to defend yourself against enemies. If building isn’t your thing, however, you can also choose Zero Build modes, which have this mechanic disabled.
These modes can be quite intense, especially in the end game, but if you’re looking for something less stressful to play, you can choose Team Rumble. This is a building mode, but it features respawns and allows you to learn how to play Fortnite.
In case you’re not a fan of battle royale or action games, Fortnite has a lot of other content to offer. While the videogame has become popular because of its battle royale mode, it has many other game modes in 2023. Here are some other modes:
Rocket Racing – Arcade racing game inspired by Rocket League
LEGO Fortnite – Open-world PvE game with crafting and survival
Save the World – Progressive PvE game
Creative – User-created maps

The game was originally announced in October 2019 as Project A, and League of Legends developer Riot Games officially announced it as Valorant a few months later. It’s somewhat of a post-postmodern game, combining elements of Overwatch, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and, of course, League of Legends.
It’s a 5v5 multiplayer first-person shooter (FPS) where one team attacks and the other defends. The main game mode, Search and Destroy, is very similar to CS:GO. The attacking team’s goal is to plant a bomb (called a spike) and have it detonate, while the defending team tries to avoid that. Regardless of whether the spike is planted or not, if a squad is wiped out before any other victory condition is met, the opposing squad will win.
Matches are 25 rounds long, with each round lasting 100 seconds. The first team to win 13 rounds wins the match overall. At the beginning of each round, players have 30 seconds to buy weapons and gear with money earned from previous rounds, with the attacking team also having to pick a starting location from a set of predetermined points.
Valorant has seasonal battle passes, limited-time game modes, and the newer Agent contracts, which unlock fresh characters and cosmetic rewards. You can also earn rewards through the all-new accessories called Gun Buddies, which are essentially keychains you can add to your guns.

Minecraft is a sandbox video game developed by Mojang Studios. The game was created by Markus "Notch" Persson in the Java programming language. Following several early private testing versions, it was first made public in May 2009 before fully releasing in November 2011, with Jens Bergensten then taking over development.
In Minecraft, players explore a blocky, procedurally generated, three-dimensional world with infinite terrain, discovering and extracting raw materials, crafting tools and items, and building structures or earthworks. Depending on the game mode, players can also fight computer-controlled "mobs", as well as cooperate with or compete against other players in the same world.
Game modes include a survival mode, in which players must acquire resources to build the world and maintain health, and a creative mode, where players have unlimited resources to build with and the ability to fly. There is also an adventure mode, where players can play custom maps created by other players with certain restrictions, and a spectator mode, where players can freely move throughout a world without being affected by gravity or world dangers.
