The CSUB Robotics Club is designed to enhance students' resumes and skillsets during their college years. For engineering students, it provides a pathway to internships and job opportunities by fostering good grades, personal projects, and valuable networking. Engaging in side projects allows students to deepen their understanding of specific topics and apply problem-solving skills in real-world scenarios. The Robotics Club offers hands-on experience in applying technical knowledge, promotes teamwork, and provides opportunities for both independent and collaborative research. Additionally, it facilitates essential networking connections that can benefit students' future careers.
Our club members have undertaken a range of exciting projects, including designing and building a fully 3D-printed plane from the ground up, developing an autonomous UAV with advanced object detection and package delivery capabilities, participating in VEX Robotics competitions alongside other local Kern County colleges, and creating object detection cars for community outreach initiatives.
This semester the club will be working on multiple projects, in order to involve more majors into the club. We will now be working towards getting a team of computer science majors to develope a game for a gameboy. We will also have more projects to come that will be geared towards students majors. We will also be participating in the UAV and 3D printed plane competition again in the summer of 2025.
